  • Charging Speed: Adds about 160-320 km (100-200 miles) of range per 30 minutes.
  • Full Charge Duration: Approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Best For: Commercial use or quick top-ups on long trips. Not typically installed in residential settings due to high costs and power requirements.
  • Cost: $10,000 to $50,000, plus significant installation costs.
Main Considerations for Installing EV Chargers
  1. Electrical Capacity: Ensuring your home's electrical panel can handle the additional load is crucial. Many older homes may not have sufficient capacity to support a Level 2 or Level 3 charger. In such cases, you might need to upgrade your electrical panel, which can add to the installation cost.
